The best things going on in Cleveland that nobody knows about....
Are you doing amazing things in NEO that no one ever hears about?
Do you work for a NEO organization that's the best in the country at something, or the first to ever do ______?
If so, please drop me line, either in the comments or at christine [at] christineborne [dot] net. I'm working with the Got*City GAME! project -- Cleveland's first reality TV show -- to assemble a "Cleveland Brag Book," and we want to include you and your project. Can be anything -- biotech, academia, business, arts, culture, whatever. Let me know!

I'm one of 110 researchers and business people helping to make Cleveland the heart of adult-stem cell therapy development in the US. Cleveland has the largest and most productive group of regenerative medicine researchers between the coasts, but we don't get the airtime that some other areas get because 1) we're not pushing the political boundaries by working with embryonic stem cells and 2) I think Clevelanders are genetically incapable of saying good things about ourselves.
BTW, our focus on adult stem cells is not a political decision. We work with adult cells because we know more about how to develop real therapies with adult cells. As I tell people all the time: "I'm from Ohio, where we actually make stuff."
This is "today" therapy, not "tomorrow" therapy.
