The Ohio Historical Society is also cutting hours and reducing staff.
It just depresses me to think about the lowly status we've bestowed upon our own history.

In this economy, apparently we've devalued history, education and early childhood mental health services.
So we're doomed to reaise a generation of children who have no idea where they've come from, and who won't be able to read well enough to know what they've missed.
But they'll all have nice clothes and the banks will do well...
