Why I Don't Celebrate Valentine's Day
The same reason why I didn't have a wedding or wear a wedding ring: it's a tradition that doesn't mean anything to me, and I feel like you have to be especially careful about just "going through the motions" when love is involved.

UNC Chapel Hill has a City and Regional Planning Librarian vacancy, would be nice if there was that type of position vacant in the Cleveland area, especially since that is your area of interest. Everything in MO is fine, my coworkers are super nice, just wish there was better shopping nearby.
I made Nick a little book about how much I love him; and gave him the sock I'd knitted. He's getting the other one in a couple of weeks (did I mention that I'm being careful of money at the mo?). He presented me with the chocolates in a fat red velvet heart that I've always wanted, and a book of Charles Addams' cartoons that we'd spotted in the window of a secondhand book shop. I felt very spoilt and special.
aww! it's good to feel "spoilt and special" sometimes, isn't it? you've got a keeper, Clare, I think.
