Oh No!
Dennis dropped out.
I didn't expect this to happen, which means I actually have to look at Clinton, Obama, and Edwards (shudder) and figure out whether I'm going to be voting in the primary at all.
This is very difficult for me because I'm really a one-issue voter, and that issue is universal healthcare. And, well.... Do I go with the least of three evils, or just not participate? Will it really matter?

Perhaps you'll be cheered a bit by reading about your fan club.
Christine, you're a trendsetter. I love it. New York moves to Cleveland. Awesome lifestyle, delectable doughnuts.
Good Lord, you were ready to vote for Kucinich for president? Have you taken leave of your senses, girl? (he asks, trying his hardest not to sound patronizing). I hear you about the single issue intensity, but that idiot dwarf just is not a serious person. And hardly a serious presidential candidates.
Oh yes! It shocks some people - you, for example, I guess - to find out that non-crazy people also like Dennis. My brother-in-law is even more of a Kucitizen than me and he's probably the most normal person I've ever met. Like, scary, eerie normal.
I wonder what makes you pick on his shortness, John? That's quite unbecoming, to be so mean.
Edwards. With Kucinich and Richardson out, it has to be Edwards.
I dunno. I can't get past the $400 haircut.
Come on, John. I was ready too.
I voted for Kucinich in '04. I was ready to vote for him again. I liked that he had the guts to mention impeachment once the Dems came to power. I think that's why he was being treated like a stepchild, even worse than in 2004. If Clinton can get booted for lying about a marital indiscretion, Bush should see some scrutiny for lying and getting nearly 4000 soldiers killed and hundreds of thousand of innocent Iraqis killed and displaced.
Speaking of war, this was a war Dennis was against from day zero.
I will probably back Barack now that Dennis has left.
Christine, here's a question: do you feel like some of the Kucinich hate is some of that ol' Cleveland self-loathing?
OMG, now John is dropping out.
So much for choice and competition.
Remember, these are the Democrats we are talking about. Some of them are even less about real choice and competition than the Republicans are (and I am very far to the left as those who know me know).
This is the same thinking that sabotaged Howard Dean's run and defecated on Kucinich's bid for the presidency...and blamed Nader for Gore's "loss" in 2000 (if Gore really lost, it was voter disenfranchisement in Florida or Gore's lack of charisma to blame, not Nader).
We need a third option...
You know, I really liked Howard Dean. I watched his post-Iowa speech without batting an eye...and was totally shocked when the next day, the media portrayed him as "unable to conceal his anger." I hadn't gotten that at all - it was like I'd woken up into an alternate reality.
I loved the "BYAH!"
He was clearly trying to lift his supporters' spirits in a "we lost the battle but we are undaunted so we will fight again and win" sort of way. I appreciated him more after that and he would have been my second pick after DK.
I thought "Wow! Genuine emotion!" I love David Chappelle's parody of that moment too.
